Custom BBQ Island in Mesa Park, Summerlin South

This 10-foot BBQ island in the Mesa Park neighborhood of Summerlin South is one of our favorite builds to date — and one look at that quartzite counter explains why.

The centerpiece is a 40-inch Lion Premium Grill, flanked by a Le Griddle for smash burgers and breakfast duty, a Lion single side burner for sauces and sides, and an RCS outdoor-rated refrigerator to keep everything cold within arm’s reach. Storage drawers and access doors keep tanks, tools, and grilling gear tucked out of sight.

The counter is full-slab quartzite with waterfall edges on both ends — a detail that turns a cooking station into a piece of architecture. Quartzite is one of our favorite materials for Las Vegas outdoor kitchens: it handles the desert sun and triple-digit summers far better than most surfaces, resists staining, and the natural stone movement gives every island a one-of-a-kind look. The rich wood-look paneling on the island face warms up the clean stucco backdrop. Read more about why we love quartzite for Vegas builds.

Everything is built to live outside year-round in the Vegas climate — outdoor-rated components, weather-resistant construction, and materials chosen for the desert.
